New Year Message from Pastor Banks:

As one-year ends and a new one begins, some people make resolutions or create vision boards while others search for self-help books in an effort to find direction and bring order to their lives.
“23 Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: 24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.” Jeremiah 9:23-24 (KJV)

May you have a life that is filled with knowing God better, resting in Jesus grace, and serving Him more faithfully. Though the temptation for things like approval, riches, and control will continue, may the joy of knowing Jesus seize our hearts, shape our schedules, and consume our days. God will reveal more of Jesus in your hearts, as we “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).

Indeed, may the Gospel compel us,“ He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” (Micah 6:8)

As Under-Shepherd of Faith Baptist Church, I encourage and compel you to study God’s Word, Pray to God, daily and worship God both, individually and corporately.

We as the Household of Faith invite the lost, unsaved, lonely, those that hurt to join with us on Wednesday’s and Sunday’s to learn God’s Word, and to have an relationship with our Sovereign, Loving God. Relationship with God naturally produces Worship of Him, Peace from Him and Direction.
